Short answer

The LinkedIn Ad Library is a free, public search of the ads companies have run on LinkedIn, kept for a year after their last impression. Search by advertiser, keyword, country and date range, then open an ad to see its text, format and when it ran.

Where is the LinkedIn Ad Library?

At linkedin.com/ad-library, open to anyone, no LinkedIn account needed.

It covers sponsored content, message ads and text ads. Ads stay searchable for a year after they were last shown, so it shows the last twelve months of a company's LinkedIn advertising, not only what's live today.

How do I find a company's ads?

Search by advertiser for a company's own ads, or by keyword to find every ad that mentions a topic.

  1. Open linkedin.com/ad-libraryThe search box takes an advertiser name or a keyword.
  2. Search the advertiserType the company name in the advertiser field. The payer field finds ads paid for by an agency or a parent company.
  3. Set country and datesPick a country and a date range (the last 30 days shows what's current).
  4. Open each ad"View details" shows the format, the run dates and, for ads shown in the EU, more about who saw it.

What to look for in a rival's LinkedIn ads

The offer, the audience the copy speaks to, and which ads keep running month after month.

  • The offer: a demo, a free trial, a report or a webinar. It tells you where they are in the funnel.
  • The job titles named in the copy: that's who they're paying to reach.
  • Repeats: the same ad across several months is one that converts.
